Sweet Small Intimate Weddings

From Tammy: I believe that amazing weddings come in all shapes and sizes!  Some of the most beautiful and personal weddings we’ve shot have been less than eighty people.  These wonderfully intimate weddings celebrate close family and friends in simple and elegantly understated details.  It’s proof positive that less can definitely be more and that it’s the love not the glamour that makes the day!

Here are a few of my favorite small weddings!

Rity & Evelyn

Rity & Evelyn were married on July 11th, 2012.  With only twenty-five people in attendance, their wedding at the Wadsworth Homestead was a classic, quiet affair.  But don’t mistake small for casual!  Rity & Evelyn both looked beautiful in formal wedding attire and their reception was a dinner party straight out of a Jane Austen novel!  I loved the pops of colorful accents in Evelyn’s bright bouquet and periwinkle blue napkins.  Their day was filled with love and laughter and, I think, they couldn’t have done it any better!

Jen & Chris

Jen & Chris, married on May, 20th 2012 at the Colgate Divinity School, had seventy-five guests.  They really took care to celebrate the love of their family and friends! Soft neutrals were the colors of the day – beautiful cream, blush, and champagne hues abounded.  Some of my favorite images are their stunning outdoor portraits.  Their understated color choices are radiant against the rich, green foliage!  Their reception at Good Luck was full of (live!) music, dancing, and joy.  I especially loved their three-tiered cupcake wedding-cake.  The airy, exposed ceilings of the reception venue added to the easy grace of the day.  Jen & Chris’s wedding really focused on celebrating the love and people in their lives and we think they hit the mark perfectly!

Jackie & Cristian

2013-07-31_0005w

Jackie & Cristian celebrated their wedding on August 25th, 2012 at Le Moyne College.  They only had twelve guests!  Their ceremony was simple and extremely intimate – Jackie was stunning in her wedding gown by Daughters of Simone.  My absolute favorite part was when Jackie & Cristian face-timed with Cristian’s grandparents who live in South America.  They couldn’t make it to the wedding so Jackie & Cristian brought it to them!  It was a truly touching moment.  This wedding was a lovely, low-key event and the love their small group of family and friends brought to their day was palpable.  Plus I adore their gorgeous bridal portraits taken at Mirbeau Inn & Spa – they really capture the beautiful, simple spirit of the day!
